Kennesaw Landis Taylor, 74, of Tiger, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born in Rabun County and was the son of the late Ray Vaughn and Flora Mae Hollifield Taylor.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Taylor.
He is survived by 2 nephews, Max Taylor and his wife Wanda, of Tiger, GA and Landis Taylor and his wife Sarah of Tiger, GA; and a niece, Joyce Satterfield and her husband, Michael of Dallas, Texas.
Kenn was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Vietnam era. He retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation where he worked for many years in Rabun and Habersham counties.
The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home Friday evening, February 18, 2011from 6 PM to 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11 AM with Pastor Madison McCrackin and Rev. Jan Devereaux officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Family Cemetery, Clayton, GA.
