Ralph Dean Fowler

Ralph Dean Fowler, 73, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday February 15, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a short illness.

Born January 15, 1938 in Dawson County, Mr. Fowler lived 46 years in Forsyth County before returning to Dawson County in 2005. Along with his wife, they owned and operated a poultry farm. Ralph was a U. S. Army veteran and was a member of the Veteran's Alliance for 10 years. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his mother, Beulah Elrod Fowler, and grandparents, Richard and Julia Elrod.

Surviving are his wife of 51½ years, Velvie R. Fowler, Dawsonville; son and daughter in law, Stacey and Audrey Fowler, Dawsonville; sister and brother in law, Carolyn and Jimmy Seabolt, Cleveland; brother and sister in law, Dennis and Vicki Fowler, Murrayville; Godchildren, Janice and Derek Cameron, Glasgow, Scotland.

Funeral services will be held Friday February 18, 2011 at 2 o'clock at Harmony Baptist Church. Rev. Joey Gilbert will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 9 at the funeral home.
