Alan W. "Bub" Sick

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Alan W. Sick, age 63, of Jefferson, who passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011. Mr. Sick was born in Cohocton New York and was a son of the late Raymond Sick and Helen Strobel Sick.

Mr. Sick was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Sick was retired from J.M Huber in Commerce and was a member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Sick was preceded in death by his brother Lee Sick.

Survivors including his wife Beverly Sick of Jefferson, Children Barbara and (Rev. Joel) Sorrow of Commerce, Norma and (Charles) Hayes of Nicholson, Philip and (Michele) Sick of Jefferson, sisters Doris Sproul and Linda Sick both of Cohocton New York, brother Neil Sick of Cohocton New York, 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Tuesday February 15, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Crooked Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Miles officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 2:30 to service time. Visitation will be Monday February 14, 2011 from 7-9 at Evans Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crooked Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with Nathan Sorrow, Andrew Sorrow, Craig Sick, Christopher Haynes, David Hayes and Ricky Hayes honored as pallbearers.
