Douglas Dillard Jones

Douglas Dillard Jones, age 45, of Dawsonville, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was a former Special Education school bus driver for Forsyth County. He also worked for the City of Cumming at the Water Department. Douglas is preceded in death by his father, Dillard Jones; brother, Don Jones, brother-in-law, Rev. Wayne Samples.

Survivors include his mother, Willene Jones of Cumming; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Stephen Samples of Cumming, Shirley and Larry Bradford of Alpharetta, Shelia and Tony Garrett of Cumming; a niece, a number of nephews, great nieces and nephews, several aunts , uncles, cousins and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2011, at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Bennett and Rev. Danny Orr officiating. Interment will follow at Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday from 10:00 am until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until hour of service.
