J.B. Standridge, Jr.,

Mr. J.B. Standridge, Jr., age 74, of Commerce, GA died Monday, February 7, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Standridge was born in Jackson County, GA to the late J.B. and Agnus Blalock Standridge, Sr. He was retired from Johnson and Johnson and later worked at East Jackson Middle School. In addition to his parents, Mr. Standridge was preceded in death by his son, Dean Standridge.
Mr. Standridge is survived by his wife, Joyce Tolbert Standridge of Commerce; sons, Rickey Standridge of Commerce, Mickey Standridge of Pendergrass, and Sherman Standridge of Hemingway, SC; daughter, Jackie Allen of Commerce; brother, Jimmy Standridge and sister, Marie Dover both of Gainesville; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Wednesday, February 9 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Lee, Rev. Tim Garrett, and Rev. Sherman Standridge officiating. Interment will follow in Freedom Church of God cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from 6 to 8 PM.
