Gardie William Cochran

Mr. Gardie William Cochran, age 87 of Cool Springs Road, Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Friday, January 28, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Monday, January 31, 2011 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 9:00 pm Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the funeral home.

Mr. Cochran was born in Jackson County and was the son of the late Elisha Cochran and Bertie Gaddis Cochran. He was retired from the Gainesville School System Maintenance Department.

Mr. Cochran is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lottie Ann Cochran, Gainesville; daughter, Brenda Reece of Clermont; granddaughter and husband, Rachael and Lee Simmons; great-grandson, David Simmons; great-granddaughter, Makayla Simmons all of Gainesville; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
