Annie Ruth Smith Touchton

Annie Ruth Smith Touchton, 81, of Tifton, GA, formerly of Banks County, died Thursday January 27, 2011 in Tifton, GA following an extended illness.
Born June 17, 1929 in Banks County she was the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Bessie Mealor Smith. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Touchton was also preceded in death by her husband, James Touchton; sister, Janna Holland; brother, Fred Smith.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Brenda Smith of Turnerville; brother, Bennie Smith of Clarkesville; sister, Angie Meredith Pittman of Orlando, FL; grandchild, Shawn Smith of Demorest; one great grandchild..
Graveside services will be held 3 pm Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Leatherwood Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Austin Kelley officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until 2:30 pm on Saturday.
Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
