Mrs. Fannie Pearl Sutton Nix, age 78, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011, at her home following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Monday, January 24, 2011 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend Brian Malcom and Reverend Clack Stubbs will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sunday, January 23, 2011 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nix was born February 10, 1932 in Cleveland, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Emory C. Sutton and Annie Belle West Sutton. She loved being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Alvin Nix, daughter, Juanita Joyce Twiggs and granddaughter, Jacqueline Elaine Nix.
Mrs. Nix is survived by her son, Jimmy Underwood of Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Lynn Nix of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, David and Becky Nix of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Debra Nix, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and James Wood; son-in-law, Lynn Twiggs and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
