Mamie Lucille Edmonds

Mamie Lucille Edmonds, 96, of Gainesville passed away Friday January 21, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.



Funeral services will be held Monday January 24, 2011 at 11:00am from the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday January 23, 2011 from 6pm-9pm at the funeral home.



Mrs. Edmonds was born December 26, 1914 in Gainesville GA, to the late John Henry and Eula Lackey. She was retired from a bakery and attended Gillsville Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Jim Edmonds, brother Everett Lackey, sister Lena Shipman, sister Eula Shockley, sister Lois Castleberry, and nephew Harry L. Smith III.



She is survived by her brother, Albert Lackey, Gainesville; sister, Lula Smith, Flowery Branch; nephew John Henry Shockley of Gainesville, nephew Charles Kermit Shockley Jr of Gainesville, niece Brenda D. Ledford of Lula, nephew Larry Lackey of Gainesville, nephew Jimmy Castleberry of Gainesville, nephew Billy Eller of Spartanburg SC.
