George Veston (Vet) Higgins

George Veston (Vet) Higgins, age 89, of Cumming, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 21, 2011. Vet was born in Forsyth County to the late Wesley and Belle Higgins and was a lifelong member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Pauline Higgins, Grace Warren and Kathleen Samples. Vet was a wonderful man loved by all.



Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Terrell and Ruby Higgins; brother-in-law, Crant Samples; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.



Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Sunday, January 23, 2011, at Cross Roads Baptist Church with Reverend Gerald Blackburn and Reverend Dennis Bottoms officiating. Interment will follow at Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Saturday, January 22, 2011 from 2:00-4:00p.m.and 6:00- 9:00p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 am until the hour of service.
