Paul Kenneth "Smut" Smith

Paul Kenneth "Smut" Smith, age 73, of Maysville, GA died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Smith was born in Athens, GA to the late Mattie Alexander Smith. He was a United States Army veteran. Mr. Smith was retired from Patterson Pump Company and was a former volunteer fireman. He was always smiling and willing to help anyone in need.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Patsy Gardiner Smith of Maysville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Paula Shannon Smith and Joseph Campbell and granddaughter, Sarah Campbell all of Alto, GA; brother and sister-in-law, John and Mary Smith of Athens, GA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roy and Marie Gardiner of Lula, GA; and nephews, Greg Gardiner of Maysville, GA and Chris Gardiner of Lula, GA.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Friday, January 21 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. James Dumas officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday night from 6 to 8 PM.
