Caroline Rowan Kidd

Caroline Rowan Kidd, 59, of Lexington, VA, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Traces of Tiger.

She was the daughter of James Calvin Kidd, who preceded her in death, and Mary Caroline Gaines Kidd.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son, Joseph Edward Grizzle of Venice, CA, and one daughter, Elizabeth Grizzle Voorhees of Los Angeles, CA; one brother, James "Jim" C. Kidd of Clayton, GA; and two sisters, Edith Debord of Johnson City, TN and Lindsey Burns of Gap Mills, WV.

Caroline was a member of Clayton First United Methodist Church, earned her Masters Degree in Education from North Georgia College, and taught school at Rabun Gap Community School and Dahlonega Elementary School. She also cared for her parents for the past 10 years. She was an artist and musician who found her inspiration in the outdoors.

A Memorial Service will be held at Clayton United Methodist Church Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 3:00 PM.
