Jacquetta Thrasher Heard

Jacquetta Thrasher Heard, age 87 of Buford, GA, died Sunday, December 26, 2010. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Danny Newbern and Rev. Rick Perdue will officiate. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens. The Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 3-8 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Heard was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Heard, parents, Ovie and Clarance Thrasher and Sister, Era Cheek. She is survived by her Son and Daughter In-law, Michael and Glynda Heard, Buford. Grandchildren, Allison Carpenter and husband Brett, Hoschton, and Ansley Pangel and husband, Sam, Pickens, SC. Great Grandson, Tilden Michael Carpenter. Brother and Sister In-law, James and Jo Thrasher, Buford and Brother, Grady Thrasher, Buford. Jacquetta was a native and lifelong resident of Buford. She graduated from Buford High School and was retired from Scientific Atlanta. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Buford and was active in Meals on Wheels and the Abundant Life Fellowship.
