Isabella Eller Garner

Funeral services for Isabella Eller Garner, age 89, of Cornelia, will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at 2:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow the service in Yonah Memorial Gardens and the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 2-4 PM and from 6-9 PM.

Mrs. Garner passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010 following a period of declining health.

Born in Rabun County, Georgia on March 22, 1921, Mrs. Garner was the daughter of the late Melvin and Lillie Smith Eller. Mrs. Garner was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. In addition to her parents Mrs. Garner is preceded in death by her husband Rufus Garner, sons Marvin and John Allen Garner, and daughter Jeanette Allene Burson.

Survivors include daughters and sons in law Linda and Larry McAvoy of Washington and Ruby and Benny Tench of Clarkesville, sons and daughters in law Ernest and Sandra Garner of Cornelia and Roy and Pam Garner of Arizona, brother Andy Eller of Canton, Ohio, sister Frances Britton of Medina, Ohio, 27 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
