Joe William "Dub" Davis

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Joe William "Dub" Davis,
age 87, of Pendergrass, who passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2010.
Mr. Davis was born on October 26, 1923 in Hall County, GA, a son to
the late Joe and Mattie Stover Davis. Mr. Davis was a veteran of the
US Army, serving during WWII, and was a retired meat processor. Mr.
Davis was a member of the Talmo Baptist Church, was retired from the
Army National Guard and loved gardening and fishing. His son, Sammy
Davis, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Patton Davis, Pendergrass, daughter
and son in law, Gwen and Danny Glenn, Jefferson, son and daughter in
law, Ronnie and Kathy Davis, Gainesville, sisters, Faye and Grace,
brothers, Franks Davis, Talmo, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at
2:00pm in the Talmo Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Spence officiating.
The body will lie in state from 1:30pm -2:00pm Wednesday, in the
church. The burial will follow in the Talmo Baptist Church Cemetery
and the visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-7pm at the funeral
home.
