Annie Gertrude Little Howser

Obituary Date: Sunday, December 26, 2010
Mrs. Annie Gertrude Little Howser, age 81, of Gainesville, GA, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010 at New Horizon's North Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with interment to follow in the Church Cemetery. The Reverend Dean Bryant and Reverend Steve Baker will officiate. Mrs. Howser will lie in state at the church from 1:30 until 2:00 pm prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Howser was born in Hall County, GA and was the daughter of the late John Arthur Little and Minnie Smith Little. She was employed with and retired from Zeeman Manufacturing in Gainesville. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Mrs. Howser was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Jones Howser and her son, Donald Howser.

Mrs. Howser is survived by her son, Glenn Phillip Howser; sons and daughters-in-law, Henry and Janice Howser; Sam and Lynn Howser; all of Gainesville; granddaughter and husband, Christy and Brent Cochran, Gainesville; grandson and wife, Matthew and Kristen Howser, Sharpsburg, GA; granddaughter and husband, Andrea and Alan Wallhausen, Clermont; and granddaughter, Erica Howser, Gillsville; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Jonnie Gravitt and Lillian Jane Souther, both of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Myrtle Little; sisters and brothers-in-law, Opal and Lewis Gailey and Lynda and Dick Skarda all of Gainesville;
