Vannie Lee Freeman Hix

Mrs. Vannie Lee Freeman Hix, age 94, of Jefferson, who passed away on
Wednesday, December 22, 2010. Mrs. Hix was born on March 6, 1916, a
daughter to the late William Gus Freeman and the late Minnie Dickerson
Freeman. Mrs. Hix was a Homemaker and a member of the Faith Baptist
Church. Her husband, William D. Hix Sr., sons, Ted Hix, Donald Hix,
brothers, W.G. Freeman, Maurice Freeman, sisters, Pearl Freeman,
Lessie Rainwater, Doris Jones, Ruth Reed and Mamie Freeman, preceded
her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Hix, Jefferson, son and daughter
in law, Butch and Joyce Hix, Jefferson, sister, Annie Mae McDonald,
Commerce, daughters in law, Peggy L. Hix, Jefferson, Corien Hix,
Hoschton, 9 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great
Grandchildren, special caregiver, Jennifer Whisnant.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 27, 2010, at 11am in
the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. David Sharpton officiating.
The visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-5 and 6-8pm at the
funeral home. The burial will follow in the Jackson Memorial Park with
Allen Hix, Eric Hix, Terry Hix, Brian Wood, Chad Hix, Todd Hardigree,
Brian Anglin and Christopher Holloway honored as pallbearers.
