Jere Adel Moffit

Jere Adel Moffit, 78, of Gainesville passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010 following an extended illness. Born in Roanoke, VA, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Gladys Marks Moffit. Mr. Moffit grew up in Lynchburg, VA and proudly graduated from Virginia Tech with an Architectural Degree in 1955. He had lived in Gainesville for the past 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Joan R. Moffit; daughters and sons-in-law, Jill Moffit and Richard Nelson of Woodstock, GA, their children, Aaron Nelson and Rachel Nelson Jacqueline Moffit and Derick Miller of Chicago, IL, their children , Kelly Miller, Matt Miller; sister Jackie Fagelson of Nacogdoches, TX.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
