Harold Edward Brock

Graveside services for Harold Edward Brock, age 86, of Clarkesville, will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at 2:00 PM from the VFW Cemetery in Cornelia. Full military honors will be provided by Grant Reeves VFW Post 7720, Habersham American Legion Post 84, and Rabun County D.A.V. Chapter 15. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday before the funeral from 12 PM until 1:30 PM.

Mr. Brock passed away Sunday, December 19, 2010 at his residence.

Born in Rome, Georgia on March 29, 1924, Mr. Brock was the son of the late Dewey and Ruth Brock. Mr. Brock was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cleveland and the Grant Reeves VFW Post 7720. He was a mechanic for Lockheed for 33 years. Mr. Brock was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in World War II; he attained the rank of Seaman Second Class. In addition to his parents Mr. Brock is preceded in death by brothers Luke and Marvin Brock and sister Gladys Humpheys.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. Brock of Clarkesville, son David Power of Marietta, step daughter Peg Adams and husband Ed of Suwannee, brother Lester Brock of Alto, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
