Mildred Winchester Allen

Mildred Winchester Allen age 84 of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief battle with cancer.

Mrs. Allen was born October 7, 1926 in Gainesville to the late Loyd and Viola West Winchester. She was retired from Western Sizzlin Steakhouse, where she worked as a waitress for 20 years. Mildred was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by her husband, James Aubrey Allen, and a brother, Loyd Winchester II.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Danny & Joy Allen of Chattanooga, Tennessee, daughter & son-in-law, Tina & Tommy Meyer of Gainesville, sisters, Marie Allen of Gainesville, Evelyn Whitfield of Flowery Branch, Bobbie Pass of Gainesville, brother, Billy Winchester of Augusta, grandson & wife, Michael & Katie Allen of Gainesville, granddaughter & husband, Melissa & Shane Armstrong of Cleveland, Tennessee, granddaughter, Miranda Allen of Gainesville, granddaughter & husband, Bethany & Bob Herron of Gainesville, grandson, Samuel Meyer of Gainesville, granddaughter, Sierra Meyer of Gainesville, grandson, Max Bowers of Chattanooga, Tennessee, great grandchildren, Samantha, Reece, Braxton, Kesslee, & Averie.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.at the Memorial Park Funeral Home North Riverside Chapel with Rev. David Beville, Rev.
