Rickey Abercrombie

Rickey Abercrombie, 45, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday December 15, 2010 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following a sudden illness.

Mr. Abercrombie was born September 27, 1965 to the late George and Ruby Abercrombie. He was a native of Lumpkin County but lived most of his life in Dawson County. He was of the Baptist faith and was also preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Sears, and brother, David Abercrombie.

Surviving are his sisters and brothers in law, Bobbie and Jim Ivey, Dawsonville, Annie and David Meredith, Palm Bay, FL, Faye and Charles Gardner, Dawsonville; special friend, Alex Simerly, Dawsonville, and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday December 18, 2010 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Corey Ray will officiate. Interment will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
