Lammie Dean Carder

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Lammie Dean Carder, age 82, of Commerce, who passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Mr. Carder was born on June 30, 1928 in Jackson County, a son to the late Elisha and Ora Garrett Carder. Mr. Carder was a Barber and was a member and a former Deacon of Apple Valley Baptist Church. Mr. Carder was a veteran of the US Army serving in WWII and Korea and he assisted other veterans with their benefits. His wife, Runette Tench Carter, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his sister, Sara Nell Stewart, Jefferson, Nieces, Jane Willis, Pat Hill, Janice Griffin, Virginia Griffin, Mary Smith, Sara Whitsel, nephews, Lenyward Carder, Rex Looney, Steve Looney, Mike Whitsel.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Carlton Peters and Rev. Marvin Luttrell officiating. The burial will follow in the Jackson Memorial Park with the visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
