J. B. "Pete" Gulley

. B. "Pete" Gulley, age 75, of Dawsonville, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at Northside Forsyth Hospital following an extended illness.
Born in Banks County on March 09, 1935, he was the son of the late William Haden and Wilma Martin Gulley. He was of the Baptist faith and was retired from General Motors with 30 years of service. Mr. Gulley was a veteran of the United States Army, he enjoyed fishing, gardening and volunteering with the AT&T Georgia Pioneers. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Irene Davis; brothers, Clyde Gulley and Vernon Gulley.
Surviving are wife of 53 years, Patricia "Pat" Jackson Gulley of Dawsonville; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa & Reginald Ledford of Cumming; sisters, Laverne Loden of Murrayville and Joyce Whitehead of Gainesville and; grandchildren, Brent Haden Ledford and Peyton Caroline Ledford of Cumming.
Funeral services are 11:00 am Friday, December 17, 2010, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Donnie Nix officiating. Interment will follow in Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720, Rabun County DAV Chapter #15 and the Habersham American Legion Post #84. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Thursday. The family is at the residence.
