Mr. Ray Mooney, 59, of Gainesville, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010, at his residence following a sudden illness.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Bill Coates will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 12, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Interment will be in Alta Vista Cemetery.
A lifetime resident of Hall County, Ray was the son of the late Virgil Mooney and of
Hazel Williams Patterson. Ray was a graduate of South Hall High School. He was a retired floral designer with over 40 years of service with Nancy Clark and Flowers by Opal and J.R. in the Gainesville area.
In addition to his father, Ray is preceded in death by his step-father, Leonard Patterson and grandparents, Larmon and Ella Dacus Mooney.
Survivors include his mother, Hazel E. Patterson of Gainesville; brothers and sisters, Joan Mooney of Gainesville, Dana Mooney Yeary of Flowery Branch, Tim Patterson of Gainesville, Mickey and Linda Patterson of Gainesville; 7 nieces and nephews, step- mother, Blanche Mooney and step brother, Danny Effler.
