Calvin Gee

Evans Funeral Home announces the death Mr. Calvin Gee, age 87, of Jefferson, who passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2010. Mr. Gee was born on August 10, 1923 in Pendergrass, GA, a son to the late Narville and Willa Nell Smith Gee. Mr. Gee was a veteran of the US Army, serving during WWII and of the Army National Guard reserves. Mr. Gee was a retired foreman with Walton EMC, a member of the Pendergrass Baptist Church, the Jefferson Lions Club and the American Legion Post 54. Mr. Gee was also a member and Past Master of the Unity Masonic Lodge, the Snellville Masonic Lodge, and a past Deacon of the Snellville First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kinny Gee and Junior Gee.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Fowler Gee, Jefferson, son, Dr. Jeff Gee, Kingwood, TX, daughter, Deborah Gee Langley, Jefferson, sisters, Alma Fulbright, Carnesville, Deanie Richardson, Hoschton, 4 grandchildren, Greg Logan, Andy Logan, Sam Gee and Davey Gee, 2 great grandchildren, Shelby Logan and Anslee Logan.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 2PM in the Pendergrass Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Spillers and Mr. Mike Dean officiating. The burial will follow in the Pendergrass Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The visitation will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2010 from 2-6pm at the funeral home.
