Williard R. Stowe

Willard R. Stowe, age 67, of Lula, Georgia went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, from an extended illness due to an automobile accident.



Mr. Stowe was born in Jackson County, Georgia on February 5, 1943, he was the son of the late Hubert and Hattie Barrett Stowe. Mr. Stowe was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and a member of the adult Sunday School Class. He played the lead guitar for the Mountain View Baptist Church Choir for 35 years. Mr. Stowe was an employee of Tipton Construction Company, Gainesville, GA with 42 years of service.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, LouElla "Tiney" Barns Stowe, Lula, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Craig Hubbard, Jefferson, GA; sisters, Viola Jordan, Lula, GA, Jewel Brown, Braselton, GA, and Montine Wade, Cleveland, GA; and 3 grandchildren, Cory Ray Dyer, Emily Hubbard, and Jordan Hubbard.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 11, 2010, at Mountain View Baptist Church with Rev. James Harvey and Rev. Craig Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Friday, December 10, 2010, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
