Frances L. Mulkey

Frances L. Mulkey, 79, of Dawsonville died Wednesday December 8, 2010 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital following a period of declining health.

Born November 10, 1931 to the late George and Annie Tinsley, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Frances retired from Tyson Foods after 37 years of service and was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Joyce Smallwood and Marie Mulkey; sisters, Betty Beck, Edna Young, and Louise Barnes; brothers, Dean Tinsley, Harrison Tinsley, Earl Tinsley, Ervin Tinsley; and a grandson, Jermey Mulkey.

Surviving are her sons and daughter in law, Danny Mulkey, Dawsonville, Jerry and Bonnie Mulkey, Dawsonville; sisters, Estelle Roland, Cumming, Stella Weatherton, Smyrna; brother, Howard Young, Lavonia; 11 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday December 11, 2010 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Josh Mulkey and Rev. David Chumley will officiate. Interment will follow in Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 2 p.m. Thursday and all day Friday at the funeral home.
