Joan Southwood

Mrs. Joan Southwood, age 78, of Cumming, passed away December 3, 2010 following a courageous battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her husband William P. Southwood and daughter Susan Southwood.

Joan is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, William and Donna Southwood of Auburn, New York, Robert and Gail Southwood of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Vince DeSimone of Savannah; grandchildren, Whitney Southwood of Cumming, Jason and Rebecca Southwood of Lake George, New York, Adam and Maria Southwood of Cleveland, Ohio, and Ryan Southwood of Rotterdam, New York.

Funeral Mass will be held Monday, December 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Frank Richardson and Father Peter Rau as celebrants.


The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 5, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.



In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice in honor of Joan.
