Henry Smith

Mr. Henry "Hank" Smith, Jr., age 81, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away Friday, December 03, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Monday, December 06, 2010 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Aud Brown will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sunday, December 05, 2010 at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith was born in Hall County, Georgia and was the son of the late Henry Smith, Sr. and Mae (Souther) Smith. Mr. Smith was Ordained as a Deacon at Springway Baptist Church and has been a member of Concord Baptist Church for 30 years and serving as a Deacon for a total of over 50 years. He served as a Sunday School Teacher, Superintendent and taught college classes at the church. By trade he was an independent automobile dealer but had been retired for several years.

He is survived by his wife, Betty (Canup) Smith of Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Gay Smith of Clermont; son, Mike Smith of Helen; grandchildren, Jennifer and Scott Cagle of Clermont, Chad Smith of Oakwood; Kirklyn and Rod Wilson of Clermont; Tonya and Brandon Archer of Jefferson; great-grandsons, Aiden and Landon Smith and Peyton and Bryson Archer. He is also survived by a sister, Adele Hodge.
