George P. Hutchison

Mr. George P. Hutchison, 84 of Gainesville died November 13, 2010 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday December 5, 2010 at First Baptist Church Gainesville. Dr. Bill Coates, Rev. Bruce Fields and Dr. Emmett Henderson will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Mr. Hutchison was a member of First Baptist Church Gainesville, where he was a member of the James Merritt Sunday School Class and also an Air Force Veteran of WWII.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the First Baptist Church Ministry of Caring or to the Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A native of Miami FL, Mr. Hutchison was the son of the late Russell and Ella Shaw Hutchison.

Mr. Hutchison is survived by his wife of 65 years; Jacqueline Hutchison of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law; Michael and Linda Hutchison of McAllen Texas, daughter and son-in-law; Sandra and J.C. McFarland of Gainesville brother; James Hutchison of Port St. Lucie, FL, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
