Berta Mae Manley

Mrs. Berta Mae Manley, age 76, of Dahlonega, GA, died Friday, November 26, 2010, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA following a sudden illness.

She was born August 10, 1934 to Walter and Dora Bell Caldwell.

Mrs. Manley worked at Woodward Clinic for several years as well as Gold City Convalescent Home, and was retired from Hall County Health Department.

She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, and aunt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Dora Caldwell; son, Phil Manley; her sister, Joyce Caldwell, and niece, Gail Moses.

Berta Mae is survived by her husband, Paul Manley, Dahlonega, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Debbie Manley, Tampa, FL; grandsons, Kris and Kristy Manley, and Jeff Manley of Dahlonega, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Travis Adams, Dahlonega, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pete and Vivian Caldwell, Charles and Kathy Caldwell, all of Dahlonega, GA. She is also survived by one great-grandchild, Isabel Manley, and her nieces and nephews, Ricky Moses, Vonda Moses, Trent Adams, Leshia Adams, Chad and Andy Caldwell, and Chuck and Darian Caldwell.

Funeral services for Mrs. Manley are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, November 29, 2010 at Yahoola Baptist Church. Rev. Lyman Caldwell, Rev. Dean Bryant, and Rev. Andy Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Pall bearers will be Ricky Moses, Trent Adams, Chad and Andy Caldwell, Chuck and Darian Caldwell.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 7 PM until 9 PM and all day on Sunday.
