Roger Williams

Roger Williams, age 70, of Homer, Georgia passed away on Friday, November 26, 2010.



Mr. Williams was born on April 9, 1940 in Canon, Georgia to Gladys Pierce of Martin, Georgia and to the late Don Williams. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha Williams. Mr. Williams was a member of Phi Delta Lodge # 148 Homer, Georgia. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Williams was the owner and operator of Central Pump and Well.



Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Genell Williams, Homer, GA; daughter, Becky Williams, Commerce, GA; sons, Keith Williams, Commerce, GA and Danny Williams, Homer, GA; sister, Virginia Emmitte, Houston, TX; brother, John Neal, Royston, GA; 6 grandchildren, Mary, Sammy, Kelli, Kirkland, Nikolas, and Megan; and 2 great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Austin.



Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 29, 2010, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA with Rev. Scott Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites conducted by Phi Delta Lodge # 148 Homer, Georgia.



The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA. The family will also receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, November 28, 2010, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
