James Morgan "Jimmy" Beatty

Mr. James Morgan "Jimmy" Beatty age 71 of Cleveland passed away Tuesday November 23, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Beatty was born in Hall County to the late Homer and Maude Smith Beatty. He was also preceded in death by his son Rodney Beatty; daughter, Becky Beatty; and brother, Dean Beatty. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and a retired Security Guard at Skylake. Mr. Beatty served his country in the United States Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Joe Beatty, Cleveland; daughters, Vickie Montreuil, Cleveland, Karin Beatty, Dahlonega; daughter and son in law, Linda and Tony Sykes, Bolivar TN; sons, Bobby Joe Richardson, Billy Richardson, both of Cleveland; brother, Jack Beatty, Pendergrass.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Wilkes, the Rev. Mark Gunter and the Rev. Pearson Pardue will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
