Funeral services for Walter Harrison Young, Jr, age 89, of Clarkesville will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at 4:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Danny Young and Pastor Don Samples officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 PM before the service in Wednesday. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at 3:00 PM from Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Graceville, Florida. The family will receive friends at Marianna Chapel in Marianna, Florida prior to the service on Saturday, from 12-2 PM

Mr. Young passed away Monday, November 22, 2010.

Born on August 19, 1921 in McIntosh County, Georgia, Mr. Young was the son of the late Walter H. and Sarah Ryals Young, Sr. Mr. Young was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church and he was a retired electrician for the State of Florida. He was a United States Army, World War II Veteran.

Survivors include his wife Nell Young, son and daughter in law Rev. Danny and Angela Young all of Clarkesville, grandchildren Luke, Joshua, Abigail, and Judah, and great grandchildren Josiah, Jachin, Justus, and Zane.
