John Wiley Hood Jr.

John Wiley Hood Jr., age 94, of Gainesville passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2010. He was a WW II Army Air Force veteran where he served in France, also he was an ordained minister and a longtime member of Central Baptist Church, he was also a member of the Murrayville Masonic Lodge # 30.
Mr. Hood was preceded In death by his wife, Myrtice Young Hood and parents, John Wiley Hood Sr. and Molly Allison Hood.

He is survived by numerous sisters in law, brother in law as well as nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Little and Davenport funeral home with Rev. Earl Pirkle officiating and burial in Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville.

The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
