Betty S. House

Betty S. House our mama, age 81 went home to be with Jesus and Daddy Saturday November 20, 2010 at 12:35AM . She was the daughter of the late Albert and Pearl Segars. Mrs. House was preceded in death by Husband of 60 years James House, her brothers Herbert and Carson Segars.

Mama was a dedicated Christian woman, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was always serving her family and friends especially with prayers and cooking for them. As with Daddy, Mama would say " You all still have a place in my heart and to live for Jesus and Pray" .

Survivors include Son and daughter-in-law Tim and Kay House, Daughters and Sons-in-law Jeanne and Steve Webb, Diane and Dale Purcell, Six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren who were the brightest spots in her life and they all loved their Nanny Betty, Daphne and Matthew Moon, Holly and Ashley Little, Jamie and Joe Anderson, Jennifer Webb, Kevin and April Purcell, Sandie and Randy Parker, Tyler, Emily and Sara Moon, Ella Little, Emma and Colby Anderson, Landon Purcell, Andrew and Chandler Parker.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to everyone over the years that has prayed, sent thoughts and well wishes and to Mrs. Blanche who has helped with the care giving.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00pm Sunday November 21 at Gillsville Baptist Church. The Rev. Tim House, Rev. Kevin Purcell, Rev. Bev Jones and Rev. Bill Calhoun will officiate. Interment will follow in Gillsville Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 2:30pm to 3:00pm at the church. The family received friends Saturday at the funeral home.
