Mattie Lou Morrison,

Mattie Lou Morrison, 93, of Dahlonega, GA was called home on November 6, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband, Alex "Bud" Morrison of Jacksonville, FL in 1977.

Mrs. Morrison was a faithful and loving wife, mother, and child of God. She was born and raised in Cordelle, GA and later moved to Jacksonville, FL where she met and married her husband, Alex "Bud" Morrison. Together they raised a family of six children. She lived in central Florida until 1995 when she moved to Dahlonega, GA.

She is survived by her son, Willie "Shink" (Tammy) Morrison of Nashville, TN; son Charlie Morrison of Dahlonega, GA; daughter, Dianne Leach of Dahlonega, GA; son, Danny (Diana) Morrison of Orlando, FL; daughter, Nena (Mike) Gribble of Rossville, GA; daughter, Joan (Clarence) Huffman of Dahlonega, GA; close family friend, Maurice Thomas of Dahlonega, GA; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts her, so she will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life. Strength and honor are her clothing. She shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness. Her children rise up and call her blessed. Her husband also, and he praises her. Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all. Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Dahlonega Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ray Rhodes will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday November 12, 2010 from 4:00
