Evelyn Bird

Graveside services for Evelyn Bird, age 84, of Arlington, Virginia and formerly of Clarkesville, Georgia will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at 10:00 AM from the Clarkesville Memorial Cemetery with The Reverend Dena S. Bearl officiating.

Ms. Evelyn Bird was born in Clarkesville, GA on January 11, 1926. She died November 5, 2010 after a long illness. She was a cartographer with the Central Intelligence Agency as well as the National Geographic. She is preceded in death by her father B. Wilson Bird and her mother Grace York Bird.

Ms. Bird is survived by her longtime companion, Jack Cornish, her cousins, Martha Bird, Gloria Brabson, Rosemary Hamburger, Michelle Wetherbee, and Putt Wetherbee as well a number of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
