Karen Darnell Kines

Ivie Funeral Home announces services for Karen Darnell Kines, 59, of Commerce, who died on Thursday at St. Mary's Hospice House in Bogart. Born in Commerce, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Baird and the late Ina Crane Craig. Survivors include her children, Sheila Diane Samples of Statham and Audrey Michelle Darnell of Commerce; grandchildren, Terry Samples, Taylor Samples and Whitney Meade; great grandson Conway Preston Meade; step children, Nathan Darnell of Commerce and Marilyn Strand of CA; step grandchildren, Nathan Darnell, Toni Kimbell, Shane McMurty and Jennifer Martin; half sisters, Peggy Anderson and Treull Wade. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Wilson and Rev. Vivian Darnell officiating. Entombment will follow in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 5-8 p.m.
