Zane I. Benton

Zane I. Benton, age 82, of Flowery Branch, GA, passed away Monday, November 1, 2010 at Willow Wood Nursing Center following an extended illness.

The family will hold a private Memorial service.

Mr. Benton was born on April 2, 1928 to the late Lathrop and Vera Benton in Torrington, Connecticut. Mr. Benton served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He retired from General Electric after 33 years of service. He was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of Odd Fellows and Rebecca's.

Mr. Benton is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Betty Bashaw Benton of Flowery Branch, daughter, Brenda Luster of Flowery Branch, daughter , Patty Hunter of Cincinnati, OH, daughter, Debbie Clark of Lancaster, CA, son, Kevin Benton of Cincinnati, OH, grandson, Jordan Luster of Flowery Branch, 5 granddaughters, and 10 great grandchildren who loved him dearly.
