Billy Sosebee

Billy Sosebee age 77 of Clermont, passed away Sunday October 31, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following complications from surgery.

Mr. Sosebee was born July 2, 1933 to the late Hoyt and Esco Satterfield Sosebee. He served in the United States Army. He was a graduate of Truett McConnell College and North Georgia Technical College. He worked from 1963-2003 for Hardy Chevrolet in Gainesville and retired as the body shop manager. He was a loving husband, he enjoyed boating, camping, loved racing and his beloved dog Ginger. He was a member of County Line Baptist Church. Mr. Sosbee was preceded in death by his sisters Bobbie Crane and Janice Hayes.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Clara Mooney Sosebee, Clermont; daughters and sons-in-law, Angie Harkins and Charles Westmoreland, Demorest; Melita and Wayne Alexander, Cleveland; daughter, Anita Sosebee Kemp, Clermont; step-daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri and Stan Gabriel, Clermont; Kim and Leonard Marchese, Dacula; step-sons, Gary Reed, Mississippi; Richard Reed, Buford; sister and brother-in-law, Gay and Charles Usher, Cleveland; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hoyt Jr. and Donna Sosebee; Randy and Karen Sosbee, all of Cleveland; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are for 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Bryan Satterfield and Rev. Milton Harris will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
