Annie Maude Holcomb McClellon

Annie Maude Holcomb McClellon, age 95 of Cornelia, GA, passed away Friday, October 29, 2010, at Habersham Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in Rabun County, GA on August 05, 1915 she was the daughter of the late Luther and Emma Coleman Holcomb. Mrs. McClellon was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother to all of her family. Mrs. McClellon enjoyed fishing, going to the deer hunting club and playing bingo. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by husband, Howard McClellon; sons, Lamar "Shorty" McClellon and Frank McClellon; sisters, Lorene Davis, Ida McAllister, Ruth Brookshire and Marie Crump; brothers Paul Holcomb and Comer Holcomb, she was the last surviving member of her family.
Surviving are daughter, Eula Arrowood of Cleveland; daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy & Jimmy Brock of Cornelia, Glady's & Raymond Kinsey of Demorest, Edna & Charles McAllister of Cleveland and Linda & Gary Allen of Demorest; son, Keith McClellon of Cleveland; sons and daughters-in-law, Lee & Willette McClellon of Cornelia, Kenneth & Deb McClellon of Cornelia, Jack & Wanda McClellon of Cleveland and Freddie & Geraldine McClellon of Cornelia; daughters-in-law, Louise McClellon of Cornelia, Daisey Standridge of Cleveland and Gail McClellon of Cleveland; 34 grandchildren; 73 great grandchildren and eight great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 1:00 pm Sunday, October 31, 2010, from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin-Stewart with Rev. Paul Flynn and Rev. Verner London officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 - 9 pm on Saturday.
