Alvie Ray Clemons

Alvie Ray Clemons, age 65, of Cumming, Ga., passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010.

Alvie was a retired Navy veteran from Benton Harbor Michigan. In addition to being a Navy veteran he also retired from Whirlpool in 1989 and moved to Georgia where he met the woman of his dreams, Retha Joyce Clemons. They were married for 20 years. Alvie was a loving caring husband, who loved his wife, children and grandchildren. We are thankful for your time here on earth "Daddy, Papa, AlvaRay" You will be missed dearly. The memories you have left behind will leave an imprint in our hearts forever.

Alvie was preceded in death by his wife, Retha Joyce Clemons; his brothers, Butch, Buster and Terry Clemons.



He is survived by his children Scotty and Betty Clemons of Cumming; step children Penny and Tim Wilson of Cumming, Chris and Andrea Gilbert of Ball Ground, Dwight and Annie Gilbert of Dawsonville; grand children, Whitney and T.J. Wilson, Tommy Chadwick, Sara Nix, Taylor Gilbert, Ashley, Chuck, Allison, Michael and Abby Gilbert; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Rick Pugh; nephew, Bo Clemons of Benton Harbor, Michigan and best friend, Bill Page of Benton Harbor, Michigan.



Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 31, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sammy Wright and Rev. Clyde Boling officiating.



Interment will take place Monday, November 1, 2010 at 11:00a.m. in Georgia National Cemetery.



The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Saturday, October 30, 2010 from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday November 1, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
