Sarah Price Deadwyler, 96, of Gainesville, GA passed away Sunday October 24, 2010 at NE Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, October 29, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home North Riverside Chapel, Gainesville, GA with interment to follow in Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, GA. Dr. Roe Calloway and Dr. William Hines will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 and Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Deadwyler was born January 11, 1914 in Atlanta, GA to the late Francis E. and Sallie C. Price. She was married to the late Brigadier General James E. Deadwyler for 60 years.

She is survived by her son, James E. Deadwyler II, Gainesville, GA, two daughters and sons-in-law, Fran and Larry Green, Gainesville, GA and Suzanne and Ken Fikes of Lawrenceville, GA, grandson, Jason Green, Gainesville, GA, great-grandson, Trent Green, Gainesville, GA, sister Margaret Lane, Decatur, GA and many nieces, nephews.

Mrs. Deadwyler was a member of the Decatur Eastern Star, Red Hat Society, Gainesville Newcomers Club, Valient Woman in the Church Women United, Gadabouts of Gainesville First UMC, past president of College Heights Elementary School PTA and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland, GA. She was an active participant at Trinity Presbyterian Church of Gainesville, GA. She was also an avid equestrian in her younger days.

She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
