Vance Galloway

Vance Covington Galloway II, age 54 of Baldwin, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in Demorest, Georgia, on January 19, 1956 he was the son of the late Vance C. and Sara Virginia "Jean" Gardiner Galloway. Mr. Galloway was retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections. He enjoyed riding 4 wheelers, fishing, NASCAR racing and spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Galloway was also preceded in death by brother, Reggie Galloway.
Surviving are wife, Gaye Galloway of Baldwin; daughter and son-in-law, Vanessa Galloway Youngblood and Neil Youngblood of Mt Airy; son, Gus Galloway of Baldwin; brother and sister-in-law, Mike & Martha Galloway of Alto; and one granddaughter on the way.
Funeral services are 3:00 pm Monday, October 25, 2010, at the Yonah Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Sanford Kimbrell and Rev. Trudy Galloway officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2
