Susie Ellen Cantrell Kastner

Funeral services for Susie Ellen Cantrell Kastner, age 91, of Mt. Airy, will be held Saturday, October 23, 2010, at 11:00 AM from the Bethel Baptist Church with interment to follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 22, 2010, from 2-4 PM and from 6-8 PM.

Mrs. Kastner passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010 with her family by her side.

Born in White County on January 11, 1919 Mrs. Kastner was the daughter of the late Elijah and Sara Francis McClure Cantrell. Mrs. Kastner was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and she was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kastner is preceded in death by her husband Harold Lee Kastner, son H.L. Kastner, Jr., daughter Francis Kastner, son in law Jack Wikle, and daughter in law Juanita Kastner.

Survivors include daughter Edith Wikle of Mt. Airy, daughter and son in law Faye and Ronnie Anderson of Hartwell, sons and daughters in law Ancil and Betty Kastner of Cleveland, Gerald and Doris Kastner of Batesville, Roy and Hilda Kastner and Dwayne and Denise Kastner and daughter in law Joyce Kastner all of Clarkesville, brothers Paul Cantrell and Marion Cantrell of Sautee, sisters Evelyn McDonald of Dahlonega and Marybelle Benfield of Clarkesville, as well as 18 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
