Diane Bingham Simmons

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the passing to eternity of Mrs. Diane Bingham Simmons, age 55, of Sautee Nacoochee. Mrs. Simmons went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. A private celebration of Mrs. Simmon's life will be held by her family and close friends on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Simmons Family Garden. A public viewing will be held at Alexander Funeral Home on Friday, October 22, 2010, from 6 PM to 8PM.

Mrs. Simmons was born in Murphy, North Carolina on January 27, 1955, to the late Roy Willie Bingham and Dovie Towe Bingham. Mrs. Simmons attained several accolades in her life, but nothing meant more to her than her family, especially her grandchildren. Her sincere love and dedication to them earned her the title of "professional grandmother" a title she took very seriously.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by her husband, Don R. Simmons, Sautee Nacoochee; daughter and son in law, Jamie and Steve Seabolt, Sautee Nacoochee; son, William Joseph Conley Jr., Sautee Nacoochee; sister, Blanche Patterson, Blairsville; sisters and brothers in law, Mary and Sammy Holbrook, Blairsville; Sarah and Leroy Anderson, Blairsville; Betty and Jerry Brewer, Blairsville; Bonnie and Phil Toliver, also of Blairsville; brothers, Roy Bingham, Hiawassee; Joe Bingham of Murphy, North Carolina and Tony Bingham of Blairsville. Mrs. Simmons is also survived by her precious grandchildren, Kassi Conley, Ashley Conley, Jonathan Seabolt, Maya Seabolt and Hampton Seabolt.

Flowers for Mrs. Simmons will be acknowledged or memorial donations may be made to further the educations of her grandchildren which was her greatest desire.
