Leona Scruggs Cordell

Leona Scruggs Cordell, age 83 of Cumming, GA, formerly of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2010. She was a member of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Luther Cordell of Cumming, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Margaret Cordell of Melbourne, FL, Mark and Rebecca Cordell of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Stephen Cordell, II, Melissa Patton and husband Jay of Atlanta, GA, Kelly Smith and husband Todd of Cumming, GA, Toni McPherson and husband Cory of Ball Ground, GA; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Betty Scruggs and Larry and Julia Scruggs; sister, Leatrice Bulluck; and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel in Knoxville, TN. Interment will follow at New Gray Cemetery in Knoxville. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and then another visitation will be held at Rose Mortuary on Friday evening.
