Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Stanford Garnett Pardue, age 82 of Cleveland. Mr. Pardue passed away Friday, October 15, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM, Monday, October 18, 2010 from Loudsville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Black officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors being provided by the White County Color Guard
Mr. Pardue was born in White County on July 26, 1928 to Herschel Pardue and Clara Howard Pardue. He served with honor in the United States Army and was a retired truck driver. Mr. Pardue was a member of Loudsville United Methodist Church and is preceded in death by his wife, Shellia Queen Pardue, brothers, Glenn Pardue, Phil Pardue and Warren Pardue as well as sisters, Margaret Baxtrum and Lorene Stephenson
Survivors include his sons, Stanley Pardue and Keith Pardue both of Cleveland, sons and daughters in law, Danny and Mildred Pardue; Clifton and Bertha Pardue; Tommy and Michelle Pardue all of Cleveland; Luke and Teri Palmer of Cumming; daughter and son in law, Laura and Mike Robb of Oakwood; brothers, Wilton Pardue and Garland Pardue of Cleveland and sister, Ruth Queen of Oakwood. Mr. Pardue is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM
