Mr. J.C. Dill, age 66, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Gainesville with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Dill's remains will lie in state at the church from 10:30 am to 11:00 am prior to the service. The Reverend Steve Baker and Reverend Verner London will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, October 15, 2010 at the funeral home.
Mr. Dill was born in Dawson County, Georgia and was the son of the late Herbert Dill and Clara (Robinson) Dill. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Gainesville. He was a precious, loving husband, father and papa. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Dill is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn (Young) Dill, Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Scotty and Tammy Dill; and Rodney and Scheree Dill both of Gainesville; grandchildren, Morgan, McKensie, Katelyn and Maddux; brother, Edwin Dill of Murrayville; sister, Mildred Stowers of Dawsonville.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to office of Dr. Charles Nash of the Longstreet Cancer Clinic and also the staff of Hospice of Northeast Georgia for all their loving care and support.
